My name is Jay and I kinda fell into the senior living industry.

Not many people check off this business as a career choice.

My first life was hospitality – my second was helping seniors.

My journey has taken me across Canada & The US and has led me down some interesting paths.

My career has spanned from opening a 135 year old luxury inn, to VP of Operations in senior living with 1000 employees & $100m per year in annual revenue.

Independent Living, Memory Care, LTC, Owned, Managed, JV and everything in between.

When I started working in senior living, I gained a profound appreciation as to why people become doctors & nurses.

There’s a deep sense of fulfillment, that comes from helping seniors & their families.

All of my career experiences, the successes and failures, all jumbled together is what led to the creation of Retirement Home Insider.
